Hear Dan Boyle's Speech on Civil Partnership

Just in time for the New Year- our recording of Senator Dan Boyle’s illuminating, frank and well-received contribution to the recent debate on the Civil Partnership Bill which the society recently hosted. Thanks to the Senator for giving his kind permission to make the recording of his speech available. It’s well worth listening to.

Heaad to our publications page or simply click the link below to listen to the speech. You can save it by right-clicking the link and selecting the save option.

Christmas Party 2008- This Wednesday Night! (10th)

Hey all,

Christmas is approaching and the UCC LGBT Society is preparing to wrap things up for this year and begin our winer hibernation (well, for a couple of weeks). But before we do, we have every intention of going out with a bang- and that’s where this year’s Christmas party comes in. We’re inviting all members of the society, past, present, and even those who have yet to come to a society event so far. We hope to see as many of you as possible as we celebrate the festive period, and bring a close to one of the most successful first semester’s in the society’s history.

We’re meeting in Loafers at 8pm- and for those of you unsure of where it is, we’ll be outside the Student’s Centre at about twenty to eight on Thursday night to safely guide you there! There’ll be Christmas goodies, spot prizes, and with a bit of luck, some free passes to Freakscene’s legendary Christmas party which is where we’ll be finishing off the night!

For those of you less inclined to join the festivities on wednesday night, we have an alternative event that may interest you.

UCC LGBT Society in conjunction with the UCC branch of FLAC, the Free Legal Advice Centre, will be jointly running a seminar on Civil Partnership this Thursday evening. Further details will follow shortly.
