This Week's Event- and other updates!
Have you gone rock climbing in the Mardyke yet?
Thought not. Well, if you’ve been itching to place your life in a thin piece of rope, but never had the opportunity to do so- now’s the time!
We’re meeting at 6.45pm outside the Mardyke Arena, where the climbing wall is located.
We’re then heading to Loafer’s bar on Douglas St afterwards to bid farewell to the proprietor and have a few drinks.
We’ll be ending the night in Sinners (Chambers Bar on Washington St). All are most welcome to get involved at any stage of the night.
The rock climbing is suitable for everyone from beginners to experts, so don’t be too shy- let’s face it, at least half of us are going to make a show of ourselves.

In other news:
* We’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that our very own Campaigns Officer this year, Rebecca Murphy, is currently campaigning for Welfare Officer of the UCC Students’ Union. In addition to her proven organisational and people skills, Rebecca would be a strong LGBT voice in the union. (I hope my cheque is in the post Rebecca) The elections will be held on the 10th and 11th of March, and we encourage everyone to cast their vote this year.
* Also, we’re sending a sizeable delegation to the USI LGBT Standing Conference in Belfast this weekend. There, they’ll be involved in debating some key issues with relation to USI policy on LGBT-related topics. If you’d like further information on this, drop us a line.
We’re in the final stages of planning the remainder of the events of the year. We look forward to sharing the full programme with you shortly- but we’re determined to go out with a bang!
