HIV Awareness Week – Summary
During this week we collaborated with the International Development Society, MSF, Slainte, Atheist Society, Suas and Microbiology.
Our Campaigns Officer had a stand on campus distributing flyers promoting awareness of HIV and a wealth of information on sexual health and contraception. Over 600 free condoms were distributed to UCC students on the day.
During this week we showed the musical Rent with the International Development Society and also in collaboration with them we hosted UCC’s Got Talent where all proceeds raised went to two organisation which do a lot to further awareness and prevention of HIV Avert and the Southern Gay Men’s Health Project. Monies raised amounted to nearly 1,000 euro.
