The Other Place’s Meet’n'Greet for our Cork LGBTQ community and Literati

The next Meet N Greet will take place in The Other Place on Wednesday, June 23 from 7.30.

This month’s event is a Team Games Night. There are a few different rounds in store that should be good fun and interactive for everyone involved.

As usual, everyone is welcome, even if you have never been before. This is a great chance to meet others if you are new to Cork or the community, and it should be a really fun night for all involved.

Admission is €2 per person. If anyone has questions you can contact meetngreetcork@gmail.com

***** Literati *****

The Book for this month’s The Other Place Literati book club is Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman,

The blurb:

Fat Charlie is not having a good week, His estranged father recently dropped dead on a karaoke stage and has left Fat Charlie with much more than just embarrassment. Because, you see, Charllie has discovered that his dad wasn’t just any old dad. He was Anansi the trickster spider-god. Anansi is the spirit of rebellion, able to overturn the social order, create wealth out of nothing and even baffle the devil. No wonder Fat Charlie’s life is about to be turned upside down

That book club meeting is taking place on Tuesday, 13th of July in The Other Place Cafe.
